A Woman’s prayer

Give me, Lord, from Mary the art of being pure and humble.

Give me from Rachel the art of making me love.

Give me from Deborah the encouragement and solidarity.

Give me from Ruth dedication and kindness.

Give me from Esther a disinterested and selfless being.

From Ana faith and fiber to fulfill the vow.

From Martha willingness to material work,

From Mary the spiritual longing.

From Jochebed the spirit of sacrifice and renunciation.

From Abigail the messenger spirit of peace.

Lord, take it from me if there is,

The desire to look back like Lot's wife.

The preference for a son like Rebekah.

The adulterous desire of Potiphar.

Dalila's betrayal.

The macabre plot of Herodias.

Allow me, Lord,

Like Lydia to be the host woman,

And that I run to proclaim your salvation like the Samaritan woman.
