Hannah’s carol

I Samuel 2:1-3, 9

Then, Hannah prayed and said:

My heart rejoices at the Lord,

my strength exalts with the Lord;

My mouth laughs at my enemies,

because I feel glad in your salvation.

There is nothing as holy as the Lord,

because there is no other besides you;

And Rock there is none, none, like our God.

Do not multiply words of pride,

nor let arrogance come out of your mouth,

as the Lord is the God of wisdom

and weighs everything done ​​on a scale.

He keeps the feet of his saints,

however the wicked ones are silenced in the gloom of death,

because man does not prevail by force.
